Intertops Software

Intertops uses the same Cake Network software that has been used by the network for years. It is a nice looking piece of software, which runs smoothly even when multi tabling 6+ tables. Tables can easily be resized with a click and a drag making it easy to arrange your tables when you have a lot of action.

When players make their first deposit on Intertops there may be issues with their poker room limits. This is done to prevent fraud and scammers from illegally transferring or obtaining funds. A simple email or call to support will fix this. In some cases, users will be required to send documents to verify their identity before these limits are raised. Don’t be alarmed, this is standard practice for most online poker rooms. It is a simple process and documents are verified quickly, meaning you can have your maximum deposit limits raised without much hassle.

Intertops’ software does not allow a heads-up display, HUD or any other stats overlay. Hand histories can still be imported into third party software providers such as HoldemManager and Pokertracker. Players just won’t have their stats updated live on screen but hands can be imported into personal databases with no problems.

Intertops also allows players to change their screen name every 7 days to preserve the anonymity of online poker. As soon as your opponents start getting reads on you – Poof! You’re someone else!

Support at Intertops

Intertops has wonderful support including a poker only email and live chat support. In most cases, emails will receive a response within 24 hours. Live chat is available nearly 24 hours a day. They have set office hours depending on your location and several phone numbers available for each country. The support team can also be contacted through Skype, via a direct link from their website. This has not been seen before in the online gambling industry and it’s something I think is an awesome feature!

Intertops also has customer service representatives active at most of the larger poker forums on the web. They are available for support and listen to players about what should be improved or changed regarding the Intertops Poker experience.

Deposits/Payouts Times at Intertops

Deposits, withdrawals and general payment processing is where Intertops really shines. Since the poker room is international they offer the standard Neteller, Instadebit, Moneybookers options and many others for international players. These are all free to deposit with. As a non US player, Neteller is generally recommended as the best deposit method. All of these methods are instantly credited to your account and take less than 48 hours to process a withdrawal.

US players, as with most sites, have a limited list of deposit methods. However, Intertops offers US players more options than most sites. Players will be able deposit using their credit card, money transfer, or by sending a bank wire. Credit card deposits are completely free of charge. Money transfer fees vary depending on the amount wagered but are usually between $20 and $60 per deposit. Bank wires will depend on the fees your bank charges for this service, with most charging around $30. Credit card deposits will be available instantly. Money transfers may take up 48 hours before they hit your account and bank wires will take 2-3 business days.

Now before I mention payouts for US players let me first state the current withdrawal times for Cake Poker, the network’s main site. Some players on Cake are waiting a whopping 4 months for checks, the only method Cake offers to it’s customers to withdraw. Intertops, a site on the same network, with the same player base is processing check withdrawals in 5 business days! Bank wires take 7-10 business days and money transfers are processed in just 48 hours or less! Checks and bank wires both cost $50 to process. Money transfers are quick but have high fees and depending on the amount withdrawn these can range from $70 to $180.

While these fees seem high, keep in mind that players are getting their money within a fraction of the time it takes for Cake to process a payout. Poker players would be fools to deposit at Cake Poker, when they can play in the same games and not have to wait 4 months to receive their money. If you want to play on the Cake Network, Intertops is the obvious choice.

VIP/Bonuses

Intertops offers players many deposit bonuses and reloads to go along with their VIP gold card program. The current deposit bonus offered is 110% up to $600. A great bonus deposit bonus for players! Regular reloads are also offered. Intertops also allows players to “stack” their bonuses. If a player is clearing a deposit bonus and a reload bonus promotion becomes available, he can deposit again and earn the reload bonus as well. This is a rare move in the online poker industry and is a really nice perk to give back to the players.

Deposit and reload bonuses are paid out in $5 increments and are earned by collecting Frequent Player Points. However, Frequent Player Points are also used to buy Gold Chips, which can be turned in for no-deposit bonuses. Players earn FPPs at a rate of $1 paid in rake = 1 FPP. Tournaments are slightly different as $1 paid in tournament fees = 7 FPP.

Intertops also offers frequent player points races (rake races) with a $100,000 prize pool. These races include weekly contests of $20,000 each week of the month and a $20,000 end of the month prize pool.

Tournaments

Intertops has a fairly large assortment of tournaments for the size of their site. Even at peak hours Intertops peaks at about 1,000 to 1,500 real money players. Despite this, there are regular guaranteed tourneys of $4,000 or $5,000, nearly every night. They also offer weekly $15,000 guaranteed and $25,000 guaranteed tournaments. In addition, they have several seasonal promotional tournaments that are offered all year round.

Sit and go traffic is generally slow but during peak hours players can usually get a two dozen SNGs going, at different limits. Generally, you’ll find a lot more action in the evening hours of US citizens.

Generally, the level of play is hit or miss. As with most tournament play across the internet the players tend to be worse than their cash game counterparts, this is also true for Intertops. We think for a multi table tournament player, Intertops is an especially good option. Not many grinders frequent the room and there are lots of guaranteed tournaments throughout the week.

Cash Games

Intertops offers Texas Hold Em’, Omaha, and Omaha hi/lo ring games. During prime hours the no limit hold em’ action is very good. Usually, there are 10-12 $1/$2 no limit games and several $2/$4 no limit games. A few tables of $5/$10 usually get going and games will usually go as high as $10/$20 no limit.

Limit hold em’ action is sporadic. Again, during peak hours games can on some nights, get up to $20/$40 limit and possibly higher. A lot of the time the limit hold em’ lobby is full of heads up matches or people waiting for someone to sit at a 6 max table.

Omaha players may have trouble finding a game but as with most of the Omaha games across the internet, the Omaha games at Intertops are reported to be full of loose players and wild action.

Overall, recent forum posts suggest the games at Intertops are getting better. More poker players are realizing that players can get their money out quickly and it is drawing fish along with grinders. Hopefully, this will continue.

Overall

Intertops is a great option for not only US players but players worldwide. They have been trusted in the online gambling industry longer than any site in existence and offer the fastest payouts of any US facing poker site. With a great 110% deposit bonus up to $600, Intertops is well worth giving a try.
