The north end of the Las Vegas Strip consists of seven poker rooms. This stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard offers two of the top poker rooms in the city, as well as a few poker rooms that struggle to get more than a game or two at any given time. The Venetian and Wynn anchor this section of the Las Vegas Strip, which begins about halfway between Flamingo Road and Spring Mountain Rd, and ends at the Stratosphere. We have included Stratosphere in the North Strip, although the Nevada Gaming Control Board considers it to be in Downtown Las Vegas.
Circus Circus – Circus Circus is a 5 table poker room located towards the far north end of the Las Vegas Strip, across from Riviera. The main games spread at Circus Circus are 1/2 No Limit Texas Hold’em and 3/6 fixed limit. Circus Circus also offers one tournament daily at 2pm.
Mirage – Once the flagship of poker in Las Vegas, the Mirage Poker Room is still an active place. The most popular games at Mirage are 1/2 No Limit Texas Hold’em, as well as a 3/6 fixed limit game. This 19 table poker room offers two tournaments a day at 11am and 7pm.

Stratosphere – The Stratosphere is at the far north end of the Las Vegas Strip. Some refer to Stratosphere as Sahara’s poker room. The Sahara closed in May 2011, but their legendary poker room lives on inside the Stratosphere. The main game at Stratosphere is 1/2 No Limit Texas Hold’em. There are also three tournaments a day at 11am, 7pm and 11pm.
Treasure Island – Sometimes referred to as simply TI, the Treasure Island Poker Room specializes in 1/3 No Limit Texas Hold’em. To draw local action, the TI Poker Room offers a get paid to play promotion that pays as much as $10 an hour to players that log in a lot of hours. There are four tournaments a day at 11am, 2pm, 7pm, and 10pm.
Venetian – With 40 tables, the Venetian Poker Room is the largest poker room in Las Vegas. The main No Limit Texas Hold’em games are 1/2, 2/5 and 5/10. Omaha High/Low is also a popular game at Venetian, with limits of 4/8, 8/16, and 15/30. Venetian is also a favorite for mixed game players. HORSE and other mixed games are offered at 4/8 and 8/16 limits when there is enough interest.
The Venetian Poker Room offers two tournaments a day. The buyin is different each day.
Wynn – While not the poker force it once was, the Wynn Poker Room is still a luxurious place to play poker in Las Vegas. The main cash games are 1/3 and 2/5 No Limit Texas Hold’em, with an occasional 4/8 fixed limit game. The Wynn Poker Room offers one tournament each day at noon.
